The philosophy of Pangloss seemed so simple. He believed that the world he lived in was the best of all worlds. He also said that everything that happened was for the best and happened for a specific purpose. Candide also shared in the philosophies of Pangloss. Even though he suffered many trials and obstacles during his journey, he kept his faith in the philosophies. However, there were a few times that he did begin to doubt and distrust his beliefs.
