My heart pounded, my eyes watered, with every step my stomach got tighter and tighter. We approached two big grey doors with a small sign reading intensive care on it. I pushed the red button and walked through the door my aunt, my grandma and I. Walked around the corner and I heard the faint sounds of cries and moans and chatting nurses. We stopped in front of a blue curtain pulled it back and all the noises drown out by the pain as I stood their looking at my grandpa covered in cords.
We walked up back up to his bed and I took his hand, which at the time was three times as big as mine. He opened his eyes and looked at me he had a mask over his mouth and nose but I still could here him say, “what are you doing?” It took me a seco
