Pauline Breedlove hates her life and thinks she’s ugly; this belief has made her lonely and cold hearted. Cholly Breedlove is Pecola’s father, who is impulsive and violent. He hates his life and takes out his frustrations on the women in his life. Pecola Breedlove is a young black girl who believes that she is ugly and that having blue eyes would make her beautiful.
