Upon the establishment of ancient Rome by Romulus and Remus, two
twins raised by a she-wolf, the development of the Roman Republic was
mostly influenced by the first settling peoples of the Latins, the Greeks, and
the Etruscans. In their declination of the monarchy, these early Romans
developed a new governmemt in which the power belongs to citizens who
have the right to vote for leaders as the republic. As Rome became confronted
with arising problems unrepairable by its political personnel or structure, the
