Krysztof Wodiczko

There are obviously many public artists that influence and make our world a better more interesting place. I have chosen to write about Krysztof Wodiczko, a refugee from Communist Poland, who is currently the Director of the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at MIT. This particular artist is commonly known for his projections of huge photographic images on corporate and public buildings. Wodiczko creates work “that suggests a relationship between Communism’s totalitarian rhetoric and the authoritarian messages that emanate from the US government and corporate America” (Heartney, 68).
I have chosen Wodiczko because I feel that his larger than life images and the places he chooses to depict
