Willy Lowman is a deluded salesman whose vivid imagination is far greater than his sales ability. His whole reality is built around the illusion that you only have to be liked to be successful, which was proven wrong in Bernard’s case. Willy referred to the 'anemic' Bernard, as not well liked. However not well liked he may be, Bernard, has had constant persistence in school, and has grown up to be an extremely good lawyer. Willy's close friend Charlie on the other hand, despite his seemingly ordinary lifestyle, enjoys far more success compared to Willy.
