In today’s prison system there seems to be more minorities occupying
our nation’s prison population. There are no cold hard facts to explain
this situation, but there are many assumptions as to why this is. Extensive
research has been done along with surveys and many people’s personal
opinions, there is still no one who can explain this growing epidemic.
While these minorities are incarcerated many claim they are being treated
unfairly and they are not getting fair representation, many people claim
this is why so many of our minority population are in prison. They can
