I believe that when the past is spoken of, only old wounds are re-opened to bring out the worst and lead people into negative words. With that being stated I don’t think there is a need to apologize for slavery by any means. There is no changing the past, the best thing anyone can do is remain quiet when the topic of an apology for slavery arises at any time.
Slavery is something of the past and no one goes around and apologizes for the happenings in the past. If these people out there and I haven’t seen them, hopefully I will come in contact with them sometime in the near future. If something has happened it cannot be taken back. As anyone can comprehend when you talk about slavery there is nothing positive to be stated about the subject
