Industrialization brought about so many changes in the United States, along with conflicts, issues of racism and labor, and so much more. In the late eighteen hundreds to early nineteen hundreds, people just wanted to get ahead in life. To be rich, make money, live the good life; all were goals of the middle class people. But these goals were virtually unobtainable back then due to the monopoly of companies, the over empowerment of a few wealthy businessmen, and the government. Two historical writers, Howard Zinn and Paul Johnson, both have documented their thoughts and opinions of industrialization, however both are different.
