The death penalty debate has continually created tension in today’s society whether it is humane or inhumane. Whenever the words “death penalty” comes up, extremists strongly argue their opinion. One side says there’s a potential of executing an innocent person; one says justice. Retribution, and punishment; the other side says execution is murder. Crimes are a realistic part of society. Everyone knows something must be done about it but cannot agree on effective methods for punishing criminals.
