In American History X the character of Derek went through many accounts of learning, he learned from the school principal Mr Sweeney, he learned from the leader of the Skin Head Gang Cameron, and he learned from his younger brother Danny. Derek in the movie was the main leader of the Skin Head group, he was filled with hate after the loss of his father. Enter Cameron who showed Derek a bunch of pro Nazi and pro Hitler slogans and taught in the evil that was instilled in him.
