The phrase “New York Times” brings with it ideas of grandeur and crack
journalistic reporting. Men with press signs in their hats and the desire for
truth in their hearts. I read 10 articles(of this) in two sections of arguably
the world’s most popular Sunday newspaper. I wanted to know if these articles
were a representation of a writer’s passion or merely a watered down collection
of literary redundancy.
The first section I read was the front page. The center article regarding the
lack of electrical power to victims of Hurricane Isabella. This article was as
bland as a sodium free saltine. I could barely stomach reading about Rockfish
Boardwalk bar and their ingenious idea of maintaining power to promote
