Upon the drive home from King’s College, I began leafing through several books on the history of Hungary. There were the customary lists of rulers, and little paragraphs describing their reigns. It caught my attention that there was a female ruler listed from 1382-1387, a short five years. Some books listed the ruler’s name as Mary, and others listed her name as Elizabeth. To make matters interesting, there was NO little paragraph on her rule, no mention of her at all.
