Lee Teter’s masterpiece, Reflections, is a powerful work of art which plays on the spectator’s emotions. Teter uses detail to express the powerful emotions of pain, hurt, regret, loss, strength, courage, and respect to really speak to the spectator of the portrait because everyone has felt these emotions to an extent.
Right from the first glance, Teter’s Reflections instantly grabbed my eye. You see an older man next to a marble wall at first. But looking closer you realize it’s not any old marble wall, it’s the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. Actual names from the actual wall in DC. give the painting a realistic touch which is appreciated.
