Why do people sometimes change how they act or respond when they are around other people? Some people will do things that they know is wrong just because everyone else is doing the same thing. In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, one can see the need to conform to feel safe and secure in many different situations. People need to conform to feel like they fit in with others because they are afraid of being an outcast. They are afraid of being an outcast because they do not want to be treated differently and people do not want to deal with the tension that is created when they are an outcast.
Faber is an example of a person that conforms in the book. He knows that people burning books and being brain washed to believe that book
