Euclid lived during the 3rd century BC in Alexandria, Egypt. He is a very famous Greek mathematician of ancient times. He later became a teacher and founded a school in Alexandria. Euclid studied geometry, numbers, and number systems. He became well known for his books of the Elements, which summarizes, shows, and explains all the rules of geometry that we use today. With the Elements, Euclid greatly influenced mathematics and became known as the “Father of Geometry”.
