In today’s society, many things that began as an almost guarantee, have proven to become the opposite. As my parents told me before, nothing in this world is a guarantee except for taxes. In my younger days, hearing this, I would laugh, only because after my parents said it they laughed, not really knowing what it meant. As I grow older and more knowledgeable, the truth reveals itself and I find that what my parents told me actually becomes more truthful the older I become. Many things that I believed as a guarantee before have again and again proven me wrong.
