The film Clueless is a modern adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel, Emma. While closely paralleling the original film, Emma (which is a more direct adaptation of the original classic novel), many viewers believe that Clueless runs into 'problems' with the main character, Cher Horovitz, being 'too likeable' compared to her corresponding counterpart, Emma Woodhouse. There are a number of aspects of this film that suggest this is not so.
