Setting includes geographical location, historical epoch, and cultural conditions in which characters operate and which affect their behavior (45). These fictional characters, like people everywhere, are affected by their environment so, if it is important for the writer to write things in his or hers work in order for the writer to create, in the readers mind, an image of a particular time, place or object.
