The movie 12 Angry Men exhibits an excellent perspective on human behavior as well as an insight into the workings of a jury. The characters in the movie play their roles impeccably and show how their individual biases and opinions affect their perception of the presented evidence. Some of the jurors were willing to condemn the boy because it was easy for them to accept that a boy “like that” was capable of the crime. In what seemed like such a straightforward case, the abstract notion of “reasonable doubt” seemed like a waste of time. However, the evidence in this murder trial is much more ambiguous than it initially appears to be, and it soon becomes evident who is really searching for the truth.
