After America had been established they adopted a culture with slavery had been around for many decades to a lot of cultures. It was a social status that no one ever wanted for themselves or another family member. Later it was stated as a “caste reserved for those with skin (Nash, pg.68).” Soon after almost every black American was a salve by trade or born into slavery. If you were an Africa American that was born a descendant of a slave you were labeled a slave. Slavery became the most common labor in America. (Nash, pg.68). Slaves may have not had freedom.
