Through these stories and characters an insinuation of correct behavior from incorrect is made, in addition, these myths highlight the moral and social values a given culture would consider desirable. In principle this mythological theory is then employed to mold the identities young women. Thus, the La Llorona myth severs as a philosophical apparatus that underwent many stages of manipulation in order to reinforce patriarchal beliefs, torment male social behavior and in the twenty century becomes apart of popular culture.
