College Athletes; The Exploitation of our Future

I think it is morally wrong and also the biggest hypocrisy on America's major-college campuses -- the notion that college athletes are students, rather than unpaid workers for athletic departments. They are exploited academically and monetarily. I don’t know which one disturbs me the most. Exploitation is a central concept in the study of social oppression, especially from a Marxist perspective. It occurs when one group is able to take for itself what another group produces.
