The Kodiak Bear is the biggest carnivore that walks the earth today. They thrive on the Kodiak Islands near Alaska. Male Kodiak bears can reach up to 1,500 pounds while female bears only make it to about have of that. The kodiak bear is an exeptional creature that is flat footed, and pigeon toed but can still reach speeds up to 35 miles per hour. It has extrodanary strength and can kill a full-grown deer with only one blow with its massive paws. Kodiak bears feast on deer, fish, bear, and whale carcases. When these bears come across a whale carcuss they roll around in it for unknown reasons. A few scientists believe that the bear gets a type of euphoria from a full stomach, but other scientists believe it is just that the bear
