Tissues are made of cells, muscle is no different.
There are three kinds of muscles, SKELETAL, CARDIAC AND SMOOTH of these skeletal and cardiac are both striated.
STRIATED SKELETAL MUSCLE
STRIATED MUSCLE was named because it is transversely striped or striated. When a H&E stained, longitudinal section of this muscle is viewed under the light microscope, in class, you can see fine cross striations. In transverse section no striations can be seen.
