Egyptians

For thousands of years before the time of Christ, the Egyptians were one of the greatest civilizations in that part of the world. Not only were there views of religion unique, in that death was an intricate past of it, but the rulers deified themselves. The Egyptians were very advanced in language, writing, art and religion, including the art of mummification for the Pharaohs. But I’m writing about my three topics, which are about Akhenaton and Nefertiti, mummification and hieroglyphics. Amenhotep the fourth, a pharaoh of the 18th dynasty reigning from about 1379 to 1362 B.C. changed his name to Akhenaton to be closer to the god Aton.
