Dignity- The quality or state of deserving esteem or respect.
In Elie Wiesel’s book titled Night. These are two attributes, which create a person, are lost. Wiesel states that he had ceased to feel human during the holocaust. It seems as though there are significant events that cause a human being to feel as though they are no longer human.
One significant experience Wiesel witnessed that changed the way he felt towards himself as a human, would be after he had arrived at Birkenau, Auschwitz. He and his father were separated from his mother and sister. While traveling with the other selected prisoners, they were walking past an area where adults, children and babies
