In the short story, The Minister’s Black Veil, it is implied that if a person recognizes that all people are sinners- those who commit offenses against the laws of God and the bible- then he or she is closer to accomplishing true moral principles and integrity. This can be seen through Mr. Hooper, the townspeople, and through contemporary examples.
Minister Hooper actually achieves true morals and integrity, by recognizing that everyone on the face of earth is a sinner.
