The 400 year silence between the Old and New Testaments was broken by the sound of Elizabeth and Mary's voices raised in joy-filled praise and worship with the love of God's grace.
The air still echoed the annunciation of Gabriel, God's messenger, that Mary was chosen to give birth to "…the Son of the Most High…" Filled with wonder, Mary, an innocent young girl, sensed a need for support and encouragement. Then she thought of her elderly cousin, Elizabeth, who was miraculously expecting a son, John. So she traveled out of Nazareth until finally she arrived at Elizabeth's home, in a city in the hill region of Judea.
With anticipation, Mary stepped over the threshold, and she called out a greeting to Elizabeth. Two
