The international legal definition of the crime of genocide are found in Articles two and three of the nineteen forty-eight Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide. Article two desribes two elements of the crime of genocide. The first one is the mental element of it. Meaning the intent to destroy a whole national, ethnical, racial or religious group. The second part is the physical element but for a crime to be called genocide it must have both the mental and physical elements. Genocide means any of the following acts with intent to destory.
A) Killing members of the group;
B) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
C) Deliberatley inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated
