Pacem in Terris is an encyclical written by Pope John XXIII. It was broadcast on April 11th, 1963. This encyclical is strictly rooted around the theme of global peace, which can only be obtained if people can make the world a place of love, fairness, justice, charity, and free will (John XXIII, Pacem in Terris, 1963, 167). Pacem in Terris promotes love for all humankind. It states that peace can only be truly obtained if humans can learn to accept all of God’s creations as a symbol of love and therefore treat all of God’s creations with love.
