Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863. At age 16, Ford made the move to Detroit and began his trade in a machine shop. Ford worked there foe several years, then he moved back to the family farm. During this time Ford worked at the Westinghouse Engine Company. Ford then set up a machine shop on his farm and experimented with small engines and machines on his own.
