I began our homily classes with a discussion of my love of photography. I will end this semester with a return to that topic.
A photograph is made when light enters the lens and burns an image onto film. Without light there is no image. We must have the proper amount of light. Too little and there’s no image. In that case an alternate source of light is used, a flash.
I have a darkroom at home. I close the door and in absolute darkness I can handle unexposed film. It’s as close to being blind as I’d care to be.
