Fahrenheit 451: Film vs. Book
|
Numerous aspects of the film, Fahrenheit 451, conflicted with the book of the same title. Various details and events centering around Clarisse varied. Faber, a character that considerably affected the outcome of the novel, was not included in the film. Also lacking was the mechanical hound which was very much a part of the novel. Several additional details were also altered in the film.
Both major and minor details surrounding Clarisse differed in the movie. To begin with, her age was changed. In the book she was portrayed as a 17-year-old girl but in the film she was 20.
