Nike is an international and national business. The company was founded by two men named Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight. Bill Bowerman, a well known track coach, was the one who brought jogging to America. He was a coach at University of Oregon and the one who built the track and field program. This is where he taught his athletes to gear up their passions for the sport. Philip Knight was an athlete who served under Bill Bowerman. He was a business student at the University of Oregon; where he took a novel in 1962 bringing low priced, high tech athlete shoes from Japan.
