My decision to continue my education at a nearby Community College was a gift to myself and to my family: the ability to earn more money and have a new sense of pride. Never formally graduating from high school, I knew I would gain a new respect for myself knowing that even though I wasn’t a high school graduate, I could become a college graduate. The only problem with my back to school transition was how I was going to achieve my goals. Having a wife, a daughter, two stepchildren, and a “honey-do” list a mile long, I didn’t have much time for myself, let alone schoolwork.
