My concept of happiness

What is happiness? Is it a state of mind or is it just a group of chemicals released by the brain? Is it an illusion or construct of our psyche to justify what we want to do or not? Can it be felt, touched, defined? No one knows what causes happiness in different people and why it can come about so suddenly or flee just as quickly. Most people will define happiness as such items as: material wealth, recognition, religion, or sex. The reasons for happiness also vary from one point in life to another, starting with birth.
