I. Introduction
KOBE is the parent company of KAMCO and KAPCO (See Appendix A). KAMCO is the fourth largest automobile producer in the United States. Spare parts for their automobiles are provided to dealers by KAPCO. KAMCO has a large supply chain with 73 production facilities in 40 countries that supply 150 national markets, plus a supplier network based in 50 of these national markets. KAPCO is organized into a three-tier internal supply chain network (See Appendix B). An analysis is being conducted to determine how to manage the supply chain flows and relationships more efficiently and effectively. The objective of the analysis is two-fold.
