Granny Weatherall

Written in third-person limited in a variation called “stream of consciousness” from the view of Ellen Weatherall. Highly psychological, with random thoughts through her head mingling past memories and the present. She rejected the doctor, considering him to be too young, and that there was nothing wrong with her. She is quite opinionated and speaks her mind. She is dizzy and feels like her body is floating as well as her surroundings. She’s tired and says that she’ll take care of things tomorrow. Her daughter and family are trying to take care of her, but she is constantly giving them a hard time. She is a proud woman who has taken care of herself her whole life. One time she had fenced 100 acres by herself with just 1 slave
