Is He Living or Is He Dead, by Mark Twain is probably one of the better stories I have ever read, I was really surprised by how the plot of the story had so many twists and turns, it kept me thinking that’s for sure. At the beginning of the story I thought it was going to be boring, but as it went on and “Smith” started telling his story it really began to take shape. I liked how this story taught about the history of art and how artists were viewed back then, you could clearly see that artists didn’t have the best of lives, and many were living below the poverty line. The story showed some guys who were desperate to make some francs (money) and would most likely do pretty much anything to do this, even if it meant someone had
