In this paragraph I will describe the affect or influences that genetics, physiology, culture and learning, and thinking have on emotions. When you talk about genetics, you are referring to something that you are predisposed to being, such as depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, spousal or child abuse. If your mother experiences depression, you are more likely to experience it yourself. Alcoholism is another genetic trait that you can expect to have if one or more of your parents is an alcoholic. The reason for this is simply it lies in your genes. Physiology profoundly affects your emotions. Fear, anger, happiness etc affects your emotions.
