The term murder is specifically defined as the unlawful killing of a person with malice. The word murder cannot be used to describe executions since the death penalty is the law. How can you compare executions to murders? Is there a difference when a police officer shoots a criminal, who has just broken the law, to protect the lives of the innocent? In enforcing capital punishment, it will save lives, save money, and serve as a deterrent, showing future criminals that they will be held accountable for their actions.
