Health Paper: Children Suicide

Cause of Death: Suicide was the article from the September issue of People magazine that I used for this paper. This article brings up the question, why are pre-teens taking their own lives? This article was about an 8 year old girl who hung herself in her closet because her parents got divorced, her father was unreliable, and her mother went away on vacation with her new husband. Everyone thought she seemed to be a happy child and no one understood why. The psychiatrist interviewed for this article stated “ for some children attempting suicide may be a way to get back at their parents.”
