Daniel Boone was born in a log cabin near the city of Reading, Pennsylvania in 1734. Daniel was born a natural leader and later in his life he proved it. He was a very unselfish man. He was very generous with his belongings and with his wisdom. When his neighbor’s wife tragically died, he gave them a fine walnut coffin to bury her in. He had intended to be buried in the coffin himself.
Daniel’s parents were hard-working Quakers who owned a small farm, a blacksmith shop, and a weaving establishment. There was much work to be done to tend to everything.
