Maj. Gen. Mason M Patrick was an Army engineer of 30 years who also, due to his managerial skills and ability as a leader, was the Chief of the Air Service and was a key player at one of the most important times in airpower history. Crucial events and doctrinal transformations were seen during his time as Chief of the Air Service that helped shaped the future for airpower.
Maj. Gen. Mason M. Patrick was successful as Chief of the Air Service due to his experience as both an administrator and as an organizer and his exemplified ability to lead.
