After having the privilege of reading the Book, I have came to the conclusion that the answer to the Essay question is that China is the country that I feel was most likely to rise to global dominance in the 17th century. China had great cultural values and was more highly developed than many other countries at this time. David R. Ringrose’s book brought all of the apparent reasons for why I believe that China would succeed.
