Bartolomé de Las Casas became an inspiration for many people. He defended certain things for certain cultures with no boundaries. He was a very well known and respected man by many people, but some people frowned upon him. But like any other person it is hard and almost impossible to please and defend everyone. One thing that Las Casas did was he became a strong defender for Indian rights. He became a defender of Indian rights because he saw many cruelties that were inflicted on the Indians or the native people by the Spaniards.
