“Carpe diem boys, seize the day!” Robin Williams’ character exclaims in the film “Dead Poets Society”. Professor John Keating is trying to teach his students to follow their own hearts and minds instead of the ideals being taught at their strict boarding school. The difficulty in following this advice in today’s society is that there are rules that may be broken in order to “seize the day”.
