The use of nutritional supplements that aid in athletic performance have been on the rise in the past few years. With new supplements coming out everyday leagues and associations have to decide what supplements will be allowed and what will not be. The nutritional supplements creatine, ephedra and androstendione should not be allowed for use by professional athletes because use of steroid like substances will give an unfair advantage to the athletes who take them. The supplements aren’t safe to use and they are potentially dangerous to those who take them. Finally these athletes are supposed to be role models to the youths that look up to them, and by taking supplements to improve their performances they are showing that it is acceptable
