Different styles of paintings continuously emerge from century to century. Several artists begin to use unique methods in their paintings, which bring about new, distinct styles. One of the styles that emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries was Impressionism. Among the many talented Impressionist artists was Claude Monet. Claude Monet was born on November 14th, 1840. He lived with his mother, Louise Monet, his father, Adolphe Monet, his older brother and his aunt, Madame Lecadre.
